National Etiquette Week Starts this May

April 29, 2011 By Tiffany Nielsen 2 Comments

Prepare yourself to celebrate National Etiquette Week, May 9-13!  In case you consider this stuff and nonsense, out of date, hardly worth the effort -imagine this:  in America today, there’s a population of people out there not yet familiar with the works of Emily Post or Amy Vanderbilt, let alone modern etiquette experts like me!  Although I admit I don’t know every famous influential person who has made a significant impact on American culture, it seems to me everyone ought to at least know Emily Post’s name.

You’re right – good manners are never outdated. Good manners are a key to success! Judith Martin, Miss Manners is one of my favorite advice columnists.

I plan to link to your post in my blog, “The Holiday Whiz,” when the appropriate week arrives. Thanks!
