The recent news in our household prompted us to find a way not to cry over spilt milk; but, rather rise up and do something loving and fantastic for other people. It’s like the Christmas spirit came down, smacked us across the face and asked us to do something good!
My husband’s mother, my mommy in law, recently underwent 14 rounds of chemotherapy to battle lung cancer. She had 6 months of glorious remission this past summer, which was a breath of fresh air for all of us! Over Thanksgiving weekend the cancer reared its ugly head once again, and before we knew it, we were back in chemo land. This time, six weeks of daily radiation has been added to her already weekly chemo treatments. Hate Cancer! However, God continues to bless her! She’s a fighter and an inspiration to everyone, not to mention very dignified and extremely positive.
In the spirit of Christmas, my sister-in-law Laura Nielsen Miller has created a special Christmas tithing that, with your consideration, will help us make good of our situation.
